Assists students to develop skills in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing Portuguese, with emphasis on the former two. A minimum grade of C is needed if getting utilized to satisfy the Foreign Language Proficiency Requirement. Students will participate in and lead class discussions, make oral presentations, create brief reflective texts, and conduct person research on topics of their decision. The Institute strives to function as a locus of cultural, literary, pedagogical and study resources inclusive of the whole Lusophone diaspora.
